JUNIOR NEWS - FEBRUARY

 The Christchurch Golf Club Juniors have begun the Interclub Competition for 2010 which was played at Hororata on the 7^th February.

The Club has three teams involved in the competition which will play five rounds of match play over the months of February, March and April.

The teams consist of four players and play match play off handicap, some players have to give over 20 shots in some matches.

The three teams consist of all our Junior Development Players who are very promising players for the future of the club. These players can be seen in action on Monday and Tuesday afternoons on the Range with Anthony Doyle.

The teams have managers who we thank for their time which they have put aside for the weekends of play. They are, Bryan Pearson, Andrew Sloane, Mark Harris and Brent Selwyn.

 The players involved in each team are;

 Christchurch “White” Team: Jack Harling, Sam Van Hulten, Henry Pearson & Ashley Watts.

Christchurch “Red” Team: James Nunan, Taylor Reid, Ryan Selwyn & Simon Watson.

Christchurch “Black” Team: Marcel Boet, Tom Pearson, Jimmy Phillip & Alex Sloane.

 The draws and results can be located on the Canterbury Golf Website www.canterburygolf.co.nz, click on “Interclub Draws and Results” then click “Canterbury Underage”.

 The team looks fantastic in their Interclub uniforms, very professional and maybe a bit intimidating to other players because all Christchurch Golf Club Juniors are on the practice green in their matching and standout uniforms.

 We hope members of the golf club can put aside their time like the managers to show some interest and support for the boys when a game is played at course nearby.
